The Author
Ryan Spallone is the author of C's Get Degrees, But You Can Do Better — a straight-talking, real-world guide to actually crushing college. He's a 2021 graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, where he earned a double major in Real Estate and Strategy & Entrepreneurship from the Leeds School of Business, along with a minor in Space.
He finished at the top of his class — not because he was the smartest in the room, but because he paid attention, showed up, and figured out what actually works. That same mindset drives his career today: Ryan is an active entrepreneur with ventures across the software industry, where he continues to challenge conventional thinking and ask the questions most people skip.
Off the page, Ryan is the proud husband of his wife, Haeley. He grew up playing hockey, and for the past six years has coached youth hockey — one of the most rewarding parts of his life. In his free time he loves to cook, play golf, and play his instruments — the guitar being his favorite.
His writing is shaped by all of it: the academic rigor, the entrepreneurial grit, the discipline of sport, and the perspective that comes from living a full life outside the work. Ryan's mission is to help people work smarter, feel more in control, and build experiences they can actually be proud of.
